Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition's Retail Disc Delayed

By Ashley Woodcock, 3 years ago
Last month we covered the details on the upcoming retail disc version of the hugely popular and successful XBLA title, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition. Included in this article where the details on the locations this retail disc would be released; US, Australia, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, Singapore, and Taiwan. No more info has been revealed on anymore regions to be hit with this retail disc, before you ask. However, the disc did recieve a release date of April 30th.

Major Nelson has tweeted a bit of bad news as the retail disc has been delayed ever so slightly to June 4th "in order to include the very latest content". One reply to this tweet was asked what content he was talking about? Although Larry did not return with an answer, it's more than likely that the disc version may have not included the tenth update to come with the game. The disc version of Minecraft will function exactly the same as the XBLA version so any previous updates will all be applied to the disc.

If you haven't already played the life out of Minecraft on the XBLA or just fancy picking up the disc version anyway, players will be able to do so on June 4th.
