Angry Birds Classic and Star Wars Get Updated

Good news, WP and Win 8 owners who have been anxiously awaiting updates for Angry Birds Star Wars (Win 8), Angry Birds Star Wars, and Angry Birds Classic (WP) - the day has finally arrived!

Angry Birds Classic was just released at the beginning of the month, but apparently it came bundled with a pair of fairly large problems. First, the game would crash at launch for some gamers, and secondly, the various three-star achievements wouldn't unlock. Now, the game is fully functional thanks to the new patch.

Keep in mind that only the WP8 version of Angry Birds Classic is LIVE enabled. The WP7 version of Angry Birds (WP) was pulled from the Marketplace and replaced with the non-LIVE enabled Classic edition. The WP7 version can be downloaded here, and the WP8 version can be downloaded here. Both are FREE until May 15th.

For the Star Wars edition of the popular physics-based puzzler, the new update finally brings the Cloud City and Boba Fett missions to Win8 and WP8. The Hoth levels for the game were released back in February, sadly behind the other platforms that have the title. While there was a delay in getting the other levels, this at least means that the WP8 and Win8 editions are caught up to other versions of the game.

If you're interested in adding Angry Birds Star Wars to your collection, you can download it here for $0.99.

Thanks to the many community members who sent this in, and to WPCentral for breaking the news.
