Beowolf Wrestles Into Skullgirls

With absolutely amazing backing from supporters of Reverge Labs' XBLA fighter, Skullgirls, fans are now reaping the rewards with upcoming DLC releases in the forms of playable characters to use in battle.

Squigly and Big Band were the first characters to be added to the roster for Skullgirls, followed by Eliza. Now, it's time for a new contender:

19/5/13 - Beowolf DLC

Meet Beowolf. Armed with a foldable chair known as 'The Hurting', this innocent looking chair will be put to plenty of use in Beowolfs upcoming battles. The chair can be used in ways a real chair would; you can sit on it (not that Beowolf will get the chance), stand on it to jump off and gain additional height for a more powerful aerial attack, or simply set it down and knock the opponent into it. The chair can also be thrown, but it will need to be "recovered to be used again". Beowolf will also be bringing some serious grapples, punches, throws and dropkicks to the fight, like a pro wrestler should. He may just have a few more tricks up his sleeve too, seeing as there won't be any referees around to disallow any 'illegal' moves or items!

Beowulf retired at the height of his professional wrestling career, defeating the seemingly unstoppable Grendel, as well as his frenzied Gigan mom when she nearly ate the audience after her son’s defeat. Years later Beowulf has become restless, wondering if that was his limit. He announces his plans to fight once again. What he didn’t mention was that it wouldn’t be in the ring, since there’s no telling where his greatest opponent will show up.
The DLC characters we've covered so far for Skullgirls are yet to receive a release date. The price tags for these items will be free for a limited amount of time upon release, but we'll be sure to provide you guys with the more precise details as soon as they are released.
