Watch_Dogs Shows Off MoCap in New Video

By Jonathan Barnes, 3 years ago
Motion Capture (or MoCap, if you're one of the cool kids) is the primary way that game developers (and other special effects magicians) make all of our favorite digital characters look and move in realistic ways. It's so popular, in fact, that I'm pretty sure Andy Serkis has had those tiny, little balls surgically grafted to his body. As you can expect, the digital wizards at Ubisoft Montreal are using the technique for their upcoming action-adventure title, Watch_Dogs. In this video, gamers get to go behind the scenes and see a bit of the tech and performance crew in action.

Watch_Dogs is set for a release on the 360 on November 19th in North America and November 22nd in Europe. The Xbox One version is currently without a release date.
