Bethesda Softworks and Zenimax Online Studios have showcased a brand new gameplay trailer of the hotly-anticipated massively multiplayer The Elder Scrolls Online. This confirms that it is indeed coming to the Xbox One, and it looks like it is staying true to its roots. The first person perspective that made the Elder Scrolls such a hit is indeed implemented in the game, alongside many familiar player races and enemy creatures from previous titles.

The premise of The Elder Scrolls Online centers around three powerful alliances, the Aldmeri Dominion, the Daggerfall Covenant, and the Ebonheart Pact, being forced to fight to defend Tamriel from utter destruction from the Daedric Prince Molag Bal. Game Director Matt Firor states:

We are thrilled to bring this game to consoles, in addition to the PC and Mac. It’s something our fans have been requesting since we first announced the title, and something our team is excited to offer. Everyone will be able to play The Elder Scrolls Online the way they want to play

Join the battle to save Tamriel when The Elder Scrolls Online is released for Xbox One in Spring 2014. If you absolutely cannot wait, keen players are also able to sign up here to test the games beta on console, which will commence later this year.
