Assassin's Creed IV Commentated Gameplay Demo

By Marc Hollinshead, 3 years ago
We've had trailers and screenshots galore for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. We've even had a trove of pre-order bonuses revealed to us. However, a solid portion of gameplay has now been unveiled for us to plunge into and Game Director, Ashraf Ismail, leads us through various aspects of the game in this 5 minute demo. We start off by seeing Edward Kenway teasing a poor soul and then moving into full-on Assassin mode where stealth has returned as a larger focus of the game. We also get to take a look at the refined gun-play with its new free-aim mechanic, and the way in which the game seamlessly changes from the quiet cave setting to a naval battle across the sea. As everyone should know by now, ship battles are back, this time with a few more tweaks and improvements.

The booty that is Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag will be ours to claim when it is released on October 29th in North America, and November 1st in Europe. The launch date of the Xbox One version still remains a mystery, but hopefully not for long.

To summarize Marc in two words, it would be "Christian Gamer." You will usually find him getting stuck into story heavy action-adventure games, RPG's and the odd quirky title when he isn't raving about Dark Souls and Mass Effect. Outside the world of gaming, Marc attends and helps out in his church on a regular basis and has a not-so thrilling job in a supermarket.
