Ultimate Warrior Comes to WWE 2K14

Besides the fact that the WWE franchise has always provided really solid game mechanics and an amazingly thorough roster of Superstars, one thing many gamers and WWE fans have taken advantage of over the years is the game's Create-A-Wrestler mode. Not only could they insert themselves into matches against some of their favorites, but they could also create those wrestlers who didn't get a spot of the roster like, say, the Ultimate Warrior.

It's not necessary to know all the details, but many people who grew up watching wrestling on Saturday afternoons really loved the Warrior. Part of it was his look, another was that he often seemed straight-up insane when cutting promos, others just loved his entrance. Whatever the reason, the Ultimate Warrior was hugely over. Then, sadly, some backstage stuff happened, and his relationship with the WWE has not been great in many years.

Thus, it was a pleasant surprise for wrestling fans when 2K revealed today that their pre-order incentive for this year's iteration of the franchise, WWE 2K14, sees the Warrior return to the ring.

Aaaaaaaaah, The Warrior is back.

It's not that Warrior hasn't been in any WWE games in recent memory, he was in WWE: All Stars after all, but this pre-order bonus is likely a step up from Mike Tyson, right?

Get ready to raise your right arm and run down the street to your local retailer on October 29th in North America and on November 1st in Europe to pick up the game. Be aware that this pre-order bonus is confirmed in the US, but not in other markets as yet.

Thanks to all the community members who sent this one in.
