Another XBLA Bundle Hits the Marketplace

Another XBLA Bundle Hits the Marketplace

You'll need Kinect for this one

Written by punkyliar on 17 July 13 at 16:02

Microsoft's current trend seems to be bundling Xbox LIVE Arcade games together at a bargain price. We've already had the Twisted Pixel Bundle and the Beautiful Puzzle Pack. Now the third pack has appeared: Kinect Bundle.

The Kinect Bundle contains five Kinect-required or Kinect-enabled XBLA titles. Dragon's Lair takes players back to 1983 as Dirk the Daring, a valiant knight, who must rescue Princess Daphne from an evil dragon, Singe. Diabolical Pitch puts players in the role of a former baseball pitcher, who must survive a trip through a dark and twisted amusement park using only his bionic pitching arm to aid his survival. Wreckateer allows players to take control of a giant ballista in an attempt to destroy the castles of your rivals. Benjy's Mansion is the location for Haunt; as one of the first visitors in a generation to enter through the door, you must outwit the house's haunted occupants. Finally, Home Run Stars is another baseball title, only this one sees you batting for both the highest possible score and several strategically placed targets.

This bundle includes five full Xbox LIVE Arcade titles: “Dragon's Lair," "Wreckateer," "Home Run Stars,” “Haunt,” and “Diabolical Pitch.” PLEASE NOTE: this bundle pack offers these games together at a discounted rate over individual purchases. The games in this bundle are available as individual downloads in the Xbox Games marketplace and are exactly the same. Be aware that it is possible to download the same game twice. If you already own one of these games there is no additional discount on this bundle, nor do you receive an additional copy of the game you already own.The Kinect Bundle currently costs 800 MSP and can be downloaded from here. If the Twisted Pixel Bundle and the Beautiful Puzzle Pack are any indication this price is likely to be a limited time offer, so don't hang around. As the five titles usually cost a total of 4000 MSP (currently 3520 MSP while Haunt is on sale), this bundle offers an 80% total saving of 3200 MSP. Personally, I wouldn't wait too long to pick this one up!

More XBLA bundles are expected in the future and we'll be bringing you news on those as soon as we hear anything!

Can anybody recommend getting this? I have none of the games but only haunt interests me and is on sale this week

Also, are the games easy to 100%?

Haunt is considered very simple (it was for me).

Judging by the TA scores, Dragon's Lair should be a manageable completion as well.

The other three seem to be quite difficult/time consuming.

Dont bother with Haunt, its almost impossible to play with Kinect. Wreckateer fares much better. Havent tried the other 3 but I do love me some Dragons Lair. Probably wont pick this up though

I know it'll be worth it, regardless if I own two out of the five, but I think I'm going to opt out of this one. If they had any other two games listed that I didn't already have, I'd get it without hesitating.

Same thing happened with the Twisted Bundle Pack. If I already didn't own The Maw, I would've gotten that one too!

Does this include the Wreckateer DLC or does that need to be purchased separately?
I am what I am, and that's all that I am, an XBLA completion addict.

Dragon's Lair IS NOT Kinect Required. It supports Kinect, but isn't needed, in fact certain achievements specifically require a controller

I have 3/5, but what a great deal. Wreckateer is a tough finish, but good workout. Dragon's Lair was not too hard. Haunt is pretty easy too.
No mercy.

Best deal I've ever seen in my life, I paid full price for almost every game lol...didn't even get haunt free but Dragon's Lair is the easiest to complete while the two baseball games are worth full price all day though a bit harder to complete
Posted on 17 July 13 at 17:22
F*ck kinect. So disappointed it's mandatory on Xbox One, but until that fateful day I get one, I'll never use that cr*p.
