DICE Starts Q&A Blog for Battlefield 4

By Keith Gray, 3 years ago
DICE has introduced the first in a series of Q&A opportunities for fans to enjoy on the official Battlefield blog ahead of the much-anticipated release of the next installment in the franchise, Battlefield 4.

The inaugural 'Ask DICE' session sees a member of the development team answer three questions that concentrate on the vehicles that will feature in the blockbuster title. There is also particular emphasis on the new vehicles that are being added as a result of the all-new Chinese setting.

What kinds of vehicles are in the game? Could you go into more detail about them?
With the new Chinese setting in the game we can confirm these all-new Chinese vehicles in Battlefield 4, including (but not limited to)…
-Type 99 MBT
-ZFB-05 Armored Car
-Z-9 Haitun Transport Heli
-Z-10W Attack Heli
-DV15 Interceptor Attack Boat

What kind of water vehicles will there be?
Amphibious Assault will play a big role in Battlefield 4 as we’ve added attack boats like the RCB-90 (U.S.) and jet-skis. Controlling the sea in addition to the land and air will play a crucial role in victory.

And, if you need to bail out of your jet-ski or attack boat, now you’ll be able to dive underwater or sprint-swim away to escape pursuers. If the situation gets desperate, you’ll also be able to use one-handed weapons and one-handed gadgets while in water for the first time.

When are we going to see videos or screenshots of more vehicles?
Right now! To commemorate the first “Ask DICE: Battlefield 4” we have this exclusive shot of the Chinese Z-10W Attack Heli. Check it out!
The aforementioned Chinese Z-10W Attack Helicopter is preparing to cause carnage, below:

DICE has promised regular Q&A sessions on the official blog, so stay tuned for our coverage.

Battlefield 4 will take warfare to the next level on the Xbox 360 when it is released on October 29th, 2013 in North America. Other regions can join the battle on November 1st. Battlefield 4 will release on the Xbox One, too, but a release date for that version of the game is, as yet, unconfirmed.
