Ubisoft. I love you. Driver: San Francisco is officially announced at E3. I absolutely loved the original Driver (the one set primarily in Miami on the PS1).
From there, Driver 2 was a natural continuation of the product, and then the series lost it's way some. Driver: San Francisco promises to return to its roots, bringing back everyone's favourite ex-undercover cop, Tanner and his arch enemy Jericho.
Tanner is allegedly in a coma, which is used as an in game mechanic to allow the player to use 'Shift' to jump between cities. A strange concept which I'd like to see in practice. This time around the title will feature around 100 actual licensed cars too.
There's little other information available at this point aside from an official teaser trailer over at Ubisoft's website. The link given in the usual place at the end of this article.
I hope they still include the burnout button...
