How to Use the Disney Infinity Toybox

By Rebecca Smith, 2 years ago
Disney Infinity is due to hit retailers later this month and is set to send kids (and parents) crazy over the collectibles involved with the title. There will be over a thousand toys for players to use to their advantage. Although we can't give you a detailed guide on the use of all of them, we can show you a few tips on three. We start with the Party Cannon, which players can use to add "action" effects to their Toybox, such as fireworks or confetti.

If you don't think the Party Cannon is grand enough, perhaps you would want to include a Super Cannon instead. Who wants to use vehicles to travel when you can go by cannon instead?

At the moment, both of those toys only work once when the trigger is pressed. If players use a repeater, the Creativi-Toys can repeat an action over and over again.

Of course, all of these toys are fun but the chances are that you'll want to create a world with a theme, be it a race track, an island paradise or a castle under the sea. Some creations will be easier than others and we can give you a quick guide on how to create the latter of the three.

Not everybody likes to create a peaceful world. For those of you that prefer epic battles, this video teaches you how to spawn enemies into your world. You have three options, each getting more complicated depending on how much of a control freak you wish to be.

If those videos aren't enough to get your creative juices flowing, perhaps you may wish to take the word of the lucky few who managed to get their hands on the title early.

Disney Infinity is due to be released on August 18th in North America. The title will follow on to other regions on August 23rd.

After all, Skylanders has been extremely successful for Activision and Disney has more of a pre-existing market. They'll make use of that until people get sick of collectibles.

I'm thinking of getting it but I don't really understand all these power discs and figurines etc. Do you actually have to buy them to play the game or what?

They add more items and/or special effects to your world. You do, however, need figures for the game to work, just like you do with Skylanders. The starter pack comes with the game, portal and three figures.

How can I get achievements in Toy Boy on Win8? Can someone help me out of this? Because there are some achievements shown in this game but no entry here on TA or x360a. Please write me message so I can see your answer! Thanks
