If anyone had any worries about running out of games to play on either that Windows Phone 8 or Windows 8 device, you can put them to rest. Developer Gameloft has announced to WPCentral that 15 new games will be released over the span of the next 12 months starting with Asphalt 8: Airborne. In 2013 alone, Gameloft has already released ten games to Windows Phone 8, and it would appear they are not slowing down.

According to Baudouin Corman, Gameloft's VP of Publishing, Americas:

Gameloft’s AAA-quality games are a perfect match for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. Microsoft’s platforms provide a great environment for serious and deeply engaging games. Gameloft will bring its full support, taking advantage of the platforms’ specific features.
Those "specific features" that Corman refers to include some newer features such as cross-platform play between Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 devices, which these new games appear ready to implement.

Asphalt 8: Airborne
Asphalt 8 #2 8/21/13

Asphalt 8: Airborne will be the newest entry into the Asphalt series, following the very popular Asphalt 7: Heat. The beautiful, fast-paced racer will feature eight brand-new tracks as well as one returning track, Monaco. Combined with a new physics engine and the return of multiplayer, Airborne will look to bring the thrills of racing back once again.

Dungeon Hunter 4

Put into the shoes of an amnesiatic warrior, it will be your duty to defend your kingdom from an invasion of demons. The game will feature character customization in four different playable classes as well as item customization. Four-player online co-op and PvP will be available for those looking for more to do online. The best part? Dungeon Hunter 4 will be free to play, giving everyone the chance to at least give it a shot.

Total Conquest

Set in Roman times, Total Conquest is a city-building, RTS game in which players must build and fortify their cities in order to thrive. Building your population, collecting resources, and sending your army to raid other villages is imperative to rise above your enemies. The combat takes place in real time, giving you a taste of tactical warfare as you lead your army to victory.

Despicable Me: Minion Rush
Minion Rush #2 8/21/13

Despicable Me: Minion Rush is a 3D endless-running game that puts the player into the lovable, very small shoes of the minions from Despicable Me. The game will feature over 300 missions to complete through locales in the city, such as Gru's laboratory, and will also provide plenty of costumes and weapons to unlock. Minion Rush has over 50 million downloads on other platforms, just in case you needed some insight on it.

Six Guns
Six Guns 8/21/13

Six Guns had already been revealed to be coming to Windows Phone 8 platforms before, but the big news here is that it will be coming to Windows 8 as well. Six Guns is an open-world, Wild West shooter in which you travel to various frontier towns across the map and complete various missions that are given to you. The gameplay features will include auto-aim to help snap to your targets, getting behind cover, and the ability to call your horse at any time so that you don't have to trek across that open terrain. Six Guns will have a full online multiplayer mode and will be free to play when it releases.

Kingdoms & Lords
Kingdoms & Lords 8/21/13

Featuring almost cartoon-looking graphics, Kingdoms & Lords is a blend between city-building and combat and will mix in some RPG elements. Friends will be able to come to your aid when needed as will you to them. Kingdoms & Lords will also be free to play upon release.

UNO & Friends

UNO & Friends is already available on Windows Phone 8; however, the big news here is that it is now coming to Windows 8 as well. If the Windows 8 version does indeed support cross-platform play, it will give players a much larger selection of people to play against, not to mention that it will most likely have its own separate achievements, so all of you achievement hunters will have the chance to double up on this game.

So far, the seven titles above are the only games that Gameloft has revealed. The remaining eight games that were promised will be arriving in 2014.
