Ghost Game Turns into The Garrick Arms

I wouldn't blame you if you didn't remember Ghost Game. Scientifically Proven's first-person survival horror title was first revealed back in November 2011 with a hands-on preview. There were no screenshots and no trailers or gameplay footage to accompany the details. Over the following two years, we've heard nothing apart from a quick throwaway comment in March this year that confirmed that the title was still in development. That silence has now been broken.

The game's proper title is The Garrick Arms, named after the location of the game. In 1939, the Detroit apartment building was originally opened as a hotel for visitors to the North American International Auto Show. A number of tragic events over the years has led to a large amount of paranormal activity. The most notable mystery is that of Margaret Reynolds, one of the apartment tenants who vanished under mysterious circumstances back in 1954.

A video has been released showing prototype footage of the game in action. Players follow the action through the viewfinder of a video camera as ghostly shadows and zombie-like enemies try to scare you witless. You'll be using paranormal investigation tools to solve puzzles and unravel the mystery of the Garrick Arms.

The Garrick Arms will be arriving on XBLA in Fall 2015.
