| The Vines are one of those bands that make super catchy and pretty awesome music, but as a drummer I can't see myself rushing to buy any of them. Wait and see the charting, and might pick a couple up for the vocals. |

I don't get why, when Get Free is already confirmed for RB3, they think The Vines are relevant. That's their one hit.
It's not an issue of taste - I don't mind them - it's an issue of success, and unlike some of the more controversial picks lately, they don't have it. Why they get a 5-song pack with another unknown supporting them and not somebody more familiar, I don't know.
At least I'll be saving some money, or maybe spending some more on CCR from last week with this crop.
Still, I'm sure it's somebody's cup of tea. Hope more people get it than got I Turn My Camera On. I should NOT be in the top 100 of any song, but so few people have that one that I am. |

Popularity isn't always what matters with Rock Band DLC, though. I mean, we have the entire Pixies album. I think two of those songs got radio play in the US? What about bands like Shaimus, Little Fish, Hautewerk, etc?

Lesser-known bands with simple music are generally destined to be ignored while lesser-known bands with more complicated tracks are much more likely to be investigated further. |
