Grand Theft Auto V’s 1.0.4 Update Detailed

Rockstar has revealed the contents of the latest Grand Theft Auto V update, which focuses on fine-tuning the GTA Online aspect of the game. Many of you are probably wondering on the status of the promised Stimulus Package; that being two separate $250,000 deposits into your GTA Online bankroll. Although it wasn’t directly mentioned in the patch notes, Rockstar has commented that they are shooting for next week as the arrival date of the first Stimulus Package payout

Below is the official list of improvements that has come along with the newest patch, which addresses issues pertaining to your vehicle, game stability, and more.

• Fixes numerous issues that were causing vehicle loss and/or loss of vehicle mods
• Fixes an issue where the incorrect car is replaced when choosing to replace a car in a full garage
• Fixes an exploit allowing players to sell the same vehicle multiple times
• Fixes an issue that caused personal vehicles to be duplicated
• Fixes an issue where some players were unable to pay utility bills on an owned apartment or house
• Fixes an issue where players were not getting Crew invites in-game
• Fixes an issue where the starting point for the tutorial race was not appearing
• Fixes issues with joining Jobs from within a player-owned garage
• Fixes issues with players getting stuck while using playlists
• Fixes additional issues causing black screens, long load times, and players getting stuck in the sky cam
• Adds details in the UI to clarify that characters created while Rockstar cloud is unavailable are temporary (non-saved)
• Adds changes to the character creator to make better-looking default characters with the “random” option
• Players now only lose a maximum of 500 GTA$ upon death in Freemode
While the allure of a bundle of free GTA$ sounds quite titillating, reports are that after installing this latest patch, many online mission payouts have been effectively halved. As you can see from the change list above, this was not addressed by Rockstar. If you’re in it for the long haul, it sounds like the benefits of the Stimulus Package could be outweighed by these new lower payouts on missions. If you’re one who is prone to death quite often you can take solace in the fact that you’ll only have to cough up a maximum of 500 GTA$ per death now.

You know how the saying goes though: “Money can’t buy you happiness”. These are wise words, however we haven’t found an option so far to pay for an apartment or fast car in GTA Online with love.
