Update on Takedown: Red Sabre

By Rebecca Smith, 2 years ago
The last that we heard of Takedown: Red Sabre, the game was missing its September release date due to a last minute bug that needed to be fixed. Now, seven weeks later, we finally have a bit of information regarding the title.

The main issue from which the game was suffering was when players were disconnected from the internet. There were also bugs with using save files stored on USB memory sticks and a bug related to party invites. All of these are being fixed.

Despite its delay on XBLA, the game released on Steam. Since its release, the game has received five major patches as well as a similar number of hot fixes. Several of the gameplay improvements and additions included in these patches are also being added into the XBLA version of the title, meaning that the game was delayed further.

Unfortunately, since the game has missed its initial release window, developer Serellan has to work with publisher 505 Games and Microsoft to get a new release date. They are hoping to have more information on this soon. We'll be sure to let you know when we find more news.
