New Dying Light Trailer Focuses on Lighting

Sometimes you need to take a step back from relentlessly slaying the zombie hordes to simply take in the environment around you. This very idea is the basis of the newest trailer for the upcoming action survival game, Dying Light.

By harnessing the power of next-gen consoles, Techland, the developer behind the Dead Island series, is now able to develop a "physically based lighting system", using their Chrome Engine 6. This will in turn allow Techland to create more realistic lighting and shadows, as well as make the game itself more authentic and immersive. Unlike previous gameplay trailers that were fast-paced and chaotic, the "Lighting" trailer takes it easy as it shows off the beautiful environment.

Enjoy it while you can, as I imagine you won't have much time to take in the sights once you get into the thick of it.

Dying Light is set to release sometime in 2014 for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
