This past month, resident Newshound fuzzball, ChewieOnIce
, challenged the podcast crew to get The mother lode
achievement in Red Dead Redemption
. Did we get it? You'll need to listen to find out!
This weekend, the TA Podcast crew will be sitting down to record the next edition of your favorite, fungible podcast and we are once again in need of some new achievement challenges!
Easy there, Caps-Locked gamer. Let's break down the reasons why that achievement is not getting picked.
Point Number One- That game sucks and we don't want to play it. Also, none of us own it which highlights the first requirement:1- Challenges should be from games that are on our cards.
For your convenience, here is my card
, TA's card
, and M's card
Point Number Two- That achievement is relatively ridiculous and borderline impossible, leading to the second requirement:2- Challenges should be "realistically achievable" in a month's time.
The odds of us picking achievements that will require us to grind multiplayer and/or blast through entire campaigns on the hardest difficulty level are probably not going to get picked.
Point Number Three- That achievement doesn't sound fun at all. This leads to the final requirement:3- Challenges should have some amount of "fun".
I don't know about you guys and gals, but the thought of spending five-to-ten hours hunting down collectibles in a game that we've already put aside sounds like video game torture.
So there you go. Have it it. Hit us with your best shot or your second-best shot, but you get that third-best shot crap right on out of here. What do you think this is, Myspace?
