Achievement of the Week for January 31st

By Jonathan Barnes, 2 years ago
Gang, I'm not going to lie, writing these wrap-ups for our Achievement of the Week have been a real kick to the juevos. First we had no dip in ratio scores, then last week, a ratio went up. I'll be honest, guys and gals, it was like going in to the doctor for a checkup, then discovering you need a prostate exam, then finding out your doctor has the biggest sausage fingers on the planet... and he's not gentle.

Kids, that's not pleasant.

With that in mind, let's take a look at the damage we did last week to my ego and to Grand Theft Auto V's "Kifflom!" achievement.

On January 24th, 17,853 gamers (out of 93,905 on site) had unlocked the achievement.
"Kifflom!" had a base score of 30 and a ratio of 2.29, giving it a TA score of 69.

Today, 18,166 gamers (out of 94,617 on site) have unlocked the achievement.
The ratio has dropped from 2.29 to 2.28, giving it a new TA score of 68.

Wait... we did it... OH MY SCIENCE, WE DID IT!

Alright, let's move on from one success to our next one!

September 7th

You best round up a posse of friends for our next challenge.

Red Dead RedemptionMost WantedThe Most Wanted achievement in Red Dead Redemption worth 25 pointsBecome a Public Enemy for 10 minutes and escape alive in a public Free Roam session.

Today, on January 31st, 26,974 gamers (out of 133,589 on site) have unlocked the achievement.
"Most Wanted" has a base score of 10 and a ratio of 2.23, giving it a TA score of 22.

The top solution (out of eighteen, so you've got plenty of helpful suggestions) for "Most Wanted" comes from M4EOzzy who suggests the following:

So, a friend and I discovered what has to be the absolute easiest way to get this achievement. Is completely doable solo, of course the only concern are other players coming after you. I managed to get into a game solo.

Go to the town of Escalera in the bottom left of the map. At the top of a hill is a hacienda/mansion. Go through the gates, on the front corner of the wall is a tower with a ladder going up into it. Climb up here and take cover against a wall. Now, start shooting the law officers in the area and keep doing it until you receive $1000 Bounty / Public Enemy status. Now just sit here for 10 min. Occasionally a guard will try the ladder, so you need to watch that, but that's all.

Now the best part...typically you have to escape to get the achievement, but for some reason, because they can't see you on top of the tower, after a few moments you'll lose your wanted status and the achievement will pop.

In summary, climb tower, become public enemy, wait 10 min. Done.
Good Luck!

If you have a suggestion for an Achievement of the Week, be sure to let us know in the comments. Check back next Friday for the full report on how our community did popping this achievement as well as the announcement of our next Achievement of the Week!
