Kinect Sports Rivals Detailed

Microsoft has revealed that not only will their upcoming Kinect Sports Rivals include three new sports - climbing, wake racing, and target shooting - but it will also introduce teams and captains. When playing the game, a "stylized on-screen version" of yourself called a "Champion" will appear on-screen in beautiful 1080p HD. You and your "Champion" will have to pick one of the three teams to affiliate yourself with - the Wolf Clan, the Eagle Legion, or the Viper Network.

Led by Vargu, the members of Wolf Clan are island natives with a primal and uninhibited nature and a culture that prizes excellence.

Eagle Legion is a loyal and honorable group that, under the leadership of Blake, have formalized the various events on this island and defeated countless teams in the process.

Finally, Viper Network, led by Zara, is the newest addition to the island, bringing with it a crafty and ambitious drive coupled with a corporate sponsorship.

Each team has "a unique identity, ethos, and equipment attributes" as well as the ability to "provide players with gameplay tips and motivation." They will also join you during certain challenges.

Kinect Sports Rivals was recently confirmed for an April 8th release in North America, and an April 11th release in Europe.
