As we recently revealed, the upcoming shooter-sandbox title, Gunscape was confirmed as one of the many games under development as part of the ID@Xbox initiative.

Describing itself as a first-person shooter construction kit, the title enable to build maps and levels that look similar in style to Minecraft, and to add FPS game modes and elements to them. The developers at Blowfish Studios have even added theme packs, created around a specific classic FPS games, enabling players to add transporters and jump pads to their levels.

To give an idea of what can be achieved, the studio has released a short clip which may look vaguely familiar and very reminiscent of certain popular team based multiplayer shooter.

Gunscape is still awaiting an official release date but it is expected some time during the course of 2014.
