XBL Content Roundup: April 3rd, 2014

I'm willing to bet that you weren't expecting to see one of these today. That would be ok, because I wasn't expecting to have to write one of these either.

DLC with Achievements

I'm not entirely certain what made Microsoft decide to release this content today. Maybe April 1st wasn't deemed to be a suitable date, even though we saw the release of a new XBLA title, demo, Game on Demand and other DLC. Anyway, this content was released for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of the title. As usual, it is not listed on Xbox.com, so we're unable to provide a download link; the content must be downloaded through the Xbox One console. The price link below leads to the Xbox 360 version of the DLC.

Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Ghosts (Xbox One)
• "Call of Duty®: Ghosts - Devastation"
Achievements: 10 for an additional 250G
Price: US$14.99 / £11.59 / €14.49 / AU$19.95 / ¥1,543
Devastation, the second DLC Pack for Call of Duty®: Ghosts. Featuring four unique multiplayer maps: Ruins - a mountaintop Mayan ruin, this map blends the verticality with tight subterranean sections. Behemoth - situated on a massive excavation vehicle, Behemoth is a narrow multi-level map. Collision - the mangled remains of cargo ship crashed into a bridge, the ideal theatre for close-quarters combat. Unearthed - a map inspired by Dome from MW3. The Ripper - an all-new tactical 2-in-1 weapon that can be switched from Sub Machine-Gun to Assault Rifle on the fly. Extinction Episode 2: Mayday – Where your team has been sent to investigate an abandoned ship in the South Pacific. There you will face the wall-crawling “Seeder” and skyscraper-sized “Kraken”.

Those of you who are not purchasing the DLC will instead be required to download the FREE "Call of Duty®: Ghosts - Compatibility Pack" from here.
