System Update Improvements Coming to Xbox One

Continuing on with the improvement of the Xbox One, Microsoft has outlined upcoming changes aimed to improve the console overall. Like all of the improvements, Microsoft is pushing the newest update content to preview members first, and then will eventually release to everyone altogether. Most notably among the new updates is the improvement to the console's System Update, which will give users a lot more control with when they are able to install the latest update; instead of playing the guessing game of what the console may deem as low-traffic hours.

System Update Improvements
After the newest update, if you have your console in Instant On mode, it will update automatically and then return to its standby mode after completion. This will remove having to worry about the process of turning on your console after the update release, turning it off to be downloaded, and then turning it back on to be installed. Microsoft has also added a system update on demand option, which allows the user to go into system settings and download the update whenever it is made available, instead of waiting for your console to "take" it.

Increased Blu-ray Player Support
The console's Blu-ray player will now support 50 Hz video for content recorded at 50 Hz. An update to the app itself will be coming in the next few days to round out the improvements.

Controller / Headset Adapter Firmware Update
The new firmware update will reduce audio static and improve the wireless connectivity.

Again as a reminder, these updates are releasing first to those members of the Xbox Live community who have been selected as preview members and will then eventually release to the entire community.
