Gatling Gears Removed from XBLA

By Rebecca Smith, 2 years ago
The popularity of Gatling Gears must have been waning for a while. The game received a permanent price drop at the end of June 2011 to bring it in line with the pricing on the Playstation Network, but sales of the game now seem to have fallen below that magic number that Microsoft uses to determine whether games are to remain available for purchase in their marketplace. Protagonist Max Brawley fights the evil Empire no more as the game has been removed from the Xbox LIVE Games Store.

Interestingly enough, players can still download the demo for the title, although it is unknown for how much longer this will remain available for download. Ironically, the game's spiritual predecessor Greed Corp also remains available for purchase, although this title offers strategy gameplay instead of Gatling Gears' favoured shoot 'em up style.
