Amazing Spider-Man 2 Delayed For Xbox One

By Ellis Spice, 2 years ago
Owners of an Xbox 360 haven't got long to wait until the release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, with the game tie-in for the film of the same name set to release in around two weeks. Those who wanted to play the Xbox One version will have to wait, however, as Activision have announced that this version is set to be delayed.

No reason has been provided for this delay, and initially Activision gave this statement to MCV, creating fears that the Xbox One version may be cancelled completely:

We want to inform you that we are revising our release plans for ASM2 on Xbox One. When and whether ASM2 is released on Xbox One is TBD.
Later, Activision provided another statement, stating that they are working with Microsoft to get the Xbox One version of the game released:

We are working with Microsoft in an effort to release The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game on Xbox One. Currently, the game will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and the PC on May 2nd, 2014 (in Europe) as previously announced.
The Xbox 360 version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is still set to release on April 29th in North America and May 2nd in Europe, with the release date of the Xbox One version now unknown.
