In a surprise announcement today Harmonix announced Dance Central: Spotlight, the latest installment in the Dance Central franchise, which will be a digital-download exclusive on Xbox One.

The core experience will come with everything you need to step up to your own dance party. Authentic choreography for up to two players, and 10 hit songs will get you started on your way to being the next big dance star. Players will be able to customize their party with more than fifty chart-topping hits, with new songs arriving each week.

Up to eight different dance routines will be available per song, and the game will feature an all-new Practice That mode. Players can simply say "DJ, practice that!" during a sequence in a song and be transported to the new and improved rehearsal mode. Dance Central Spotlight will even offer an expanded fitness mode that will feature special routines designed to focus on strength and cardio.

The core 10-song soundtrack will include all-new tracks to the franchise, including:
- “Wake Me Up” – Avicii
- “Talk Dirty” – Jason Derulo ft. 2 Chainz
- “Show Me” – Kid Ink ft. Chris Brown

When not enjoying video games, our fearless newshound enjoys an nice pint of fermented barley and hops in a variety of styles. India Pale Ales, Stouts, Porters, Witbiers, Saisons, Gose, Lambics, Barleywine, you name it. If it has water, malted barley, hops and yeast in it, I'll consume it. I also enjoy all things technological, Doctor Who, wrasslin, traveling, and spending time with my family.
