While Project Spark has been running strong in beta since December, we're finally approaching the full release of the game. Over the beta period, millions of worlds have been created, but it has come time to move out of that phase.

This October, the "Project Spark Starter Pack" will arrive at retailers around the globe. While the core game will be free to download on Xbox One and Windows 8.1 (the release from Microsoft did not include the 360 version), the game can then be expanded by purchasing additional content. The "Starter Pack" will include a collection of this premium content to get you started.

Here's a list of what you'll receive:

- The first sci-fi pack “Galaxies: First Contact”
- The warrior champion Sir Haakon “Hawk” the Knight
- “Champions Quest: Void Storm,” the first episode of an epic campaign adventure
- Immediate access to some of the best paid content, features and add-ons in a single package.
Additional content is also promised, and Dakota also noted that all of this content will be available digitally on launch day.

When's launch day and what can you expect to pay? The "Project Spark Starter Pack" will be released on October 7th in the Americas, October 9th in Asia-Pacific countries and October 10th in Europe, and will cost $39.99 or your regional equivalent. If you've created anything during the beta period, don't fret, as it will all still be available after the game's full launch with the retail release.
