Alien: Isolation Reunites the Original Movie Cast

By Keith Gray,
The cast of Alien: Isolation has already featured in a recent trailer, before Creative Assembly demonstrated some gameplay features of the title at E3.

The game's publisher, Sega, has now confirmed pre-order bonuses that will bring the original cast from Ridley Scott's 1979 horror classic into the game. The extra content will come courtesy of a free upgrade to the Nostromo Edition for all pre-orders. The Nostromo Edition includes bonus content titled "Crew Expendable", where players can work through the ship as Ripley, Dallas, or Parker to tease the creature into the airlock after it kills Brett.

As well as the "Crew Expendable" DLC, certain pre-orders will also receive another bonus in the form of a mission pack called "Last Survivor". Players will have to take on the role of Ripley to get back through the Nostromo to complete the self-destruct sequence and then escape on the Nascissus. In order to make sure that the "Last Survivor" content is received, North American gamers need to pre-order at Gamestop. Likewise, those in Europe and the UK will only be guaranteed the "Last Survivor" mission at selected retailers.

Alistair Hope, Creative Lead on the game, has already highlighted the importance of the original movie cast to the realism of Alien: Isolation:
Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience... It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien video game. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience
Alien: Isolation will be released on October 7th, 2014 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
