Raiden Returns in Mortal Kombat X

By Michelle Balsan, 2 years ago
Just over a month ago, Mortal Kombat X was officially revealed just before E3. Since then, a gameplay video and some screens have appeared. Now, we're getting into the territory where we'll start hearing about who's on the roster. Certainly, you can tell some of the Kombatants from the trailers and screens, but it's always good when an appearance is made official.

To that end, it was revealed at EVO 2014 that Raiden will be stepping in to Mortal Kombat X.

Raiden will have three distinct modes available to him. The first, "Displacer", will be all about his ability to transport. The second, "Storm Lord", will take advantage of Raiden's surrounding as he uses his thunderous abilities to defeat his opponents. The final mode, "Thunder God", will see Raiden with an enhanced moveset related to electrocution.

Mortal Kombat X is set for a 2015 release on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
