Slitherine Software, the developers behind History - Great Battles Medieval and History Legends of War: Patton, has announced that their World War II Turn Based Strategy title, Battle Academy, will be making its way to the Xbox 360. The console version will include the original game as well as all six expansions from the PC and iPad, meaning players will be able to take control of British, US, Polish, Canadian, Italian and German forces across nine campaigns featuring more than ninety missions.

The game will feature over two hundred units from seven nations including, Shermans, Fireflys, Panthers, Tigers and Stukas, and gives you the opportunity to utilise ambushes, artillery barrages, snipers and heavy bombers. Your units will gain experience as they fight, earning promotions and gaining new skills. The team at Slitherine also worked alongside Professor John Buckley, Military Historian at the University of Wolverhampton and war-game enthusiast, to make sure that the strategy, tactics, and AI behaviours were as realistic as possible and true to the time period.

Battle Academy does not currently have a release date.
