Saints Row loyalists who have taken their gaming to the next-gen may be wondering when they can get their next fix from the franchise. Well, you gaming street soldiers will be very pleased with the freshly announced Saints Row IV: Re-elected that will be making its way to the Xbox One. With the aid of game developer, High Voltage, the Saints are being ported up to the Xbox One along with a newly announced DLC expansion pack. To celebrate, let's tango with some random characters from the title:

SR IV: Re-elected Screen

The history of Saints Row has most certainly been entertaining, colourful, eventful, eventually weird and... interesting. One of the most loudest, proudest, and easily the most rowdy characters from the series has to be the melee master himself, Johnny Gat. I won't go into many details on some of the events that Gat has been a part of throughout his career as the lieutenant of the 3rd Street Saints, as this article could turn into a spoiler-filled minefield for those who may still want to start the Saints Row series from scratch. Let's just say that, in each of the titles from the series, Gat has always left a long-lasting impression on players in a good way, and a not so good impression on the enemies foolish enough to stand in his, or the gang's way.

Despite being as ruthless and tough as Gat is, could he have met his match when he squares off against, Satan!? Game developers, Volition and High Voltage Software have revealed the "Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell" standalone expansion pack that will take fans to the next crazy destination for the Saints that is literally out of this world!

Johnny Gat and Kinzie Kensington embark on a quest to save The President/God Emperor of the Universe from Hell’s infernal city of New Hades. After teaming up with former enemy Dane Vogel, they learn The Boss is going to be forced to marry Satan’s daughter! The Saints must conquer the demon-infested city and save their friend before it is too late.Players will finally be able to step into the shoes of the legendary Johnny Gat himself. However, if you do fancy some co-op action, then Gat and Kinzie can roll into hell together as two players aim to take on the hellish mission. The sweltering hot open world will contain the usual style of options to keep players entertained thanks to the selection of activities, diversions, and even hidden treasures to find. Explore the city of New Hades and its five different and unique islands which will include "a barren wasteland of an ancient war, a towering downtown for Hell’s elite, and a crammed slums built for ultimate suffering". Gat will square off against Hell's army that will be full of enemies in all sorts of shapes and sizes, from small "ankle biting imps", to "massive Arch-Demons".

To aid Gat in his fight, players will be able to take to the skies with the power of angelic flight. That's right, the Saints have finally found their wings and will have even more powers to use such as "demonic summons" and "deadly holy auras". Lastly, "The 7 Legendary Deadly Weapons" are the Saints twist on the seven deadly sins. This could certainly make for some sick, interesting, but result-filled weaponry that will undoubtedly get the job done.

Lastly, we have the expansion pack announcement trailer to check out, as the Saints can be seen enjoying some quality time together. The gang are having a blast with a Juju Spirit Board, but it all goes horribly wrong in typical Saints Row fashion. Somebody needs to save the boss, and without hesitation, Gat gets to work.

Saints Row IV: Re-elected will be coming to the Xbox One on January 27th, 2015 and will be bundled with the "Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell" expansion pack, and the two DLC packs already available in Saints Row IV.

Xbox 360 users interested in the expansion can purchase the pack on the same date for a price of $19.95.
