Hellraid Tech Demo Shows Off Gameplay

By Joshua Rust, 2 years ago
Hellraid was announced just over a year ago from the same developers that brought us the Dead Island franchise. The similarities between the two titles are aplenty, one could even say that Hellraid is essentially Dead Island in disguise. Offering up both single player and co-op gameplay, up to four friends can slay their way through just about every type of fantasy creature you can think up. Players will utilize melee, ranged weaponry, and magical weapons as they progress through their adventure.

Previous coverage shown at E3 displays combat and recent screenshots show off some of the enemies and environments.

This newest gameplay trailer shows gamers what Techland's new engine, the Chrome Engine 6 (which also is used in making Dying Light) will look like. Be advised this is still alpha footage, so take it as such.

Hellraid will be slashing its way to Xbox One in 2015, a definitive date is currently unknown.

Hello everyone! I joined the Newshound group of TrueAchievements back in June 2013. Gaming has always been a passion of mine, up until recently I was a huge score-whore but have recently slacked off a bit. Not to brag or anything, but I do hold the top position in TA Score among the Newshounds (much to Michelle's displeasure...lol). I'm always up for boosting some of the older multiplayer games, so if you need help I'll try to find time in my schedule to help out! I'm also a huge Marvel Comics fan and Moon Knight is my favorite character, period. Excelsior!
