Dark Souls PC Version Migrating To Steam

By Jerry Minnich, 2 years ago
Bandai Namco has announced that players with a PC copy of Dark Souls (PC) through the Games For Windows Live service will be able to migrate their copy to Steam for free starting next month.

No official start and end dates were given, but during this limited-time period if you migrate your copy, all of your save data and achievements will transfer along with it. Leaderboard rankings, however, will not survive the transfer. If you don't make the transfer during this period, you will still have the option to do so at a later date, but without your previous saved progress. Keep in mind that if you do migrate your copy to Steam, any future progress will not earn you any Gamerscore (or worse yet no TA score). Like everything else in Dark Souls: enter at your own risk. For players looking to migrate starting in November, you will need your Games For Windows Live token to make the switch (find it here).

Bandai Namco has promised more details in the future, so stay tuned. When we know, you'll know!
