German studio Daedalic Entertainment has announced that their upcoming adventure title, Silence – The Whispered World 2
, which is a sequel to 2010's point and click title The Whispered World
, will be coming to Xbox One next year alongside its previously announced PC and Mac versions.
In the game, players take on the roles of siblings Noah and Renie, who each have strengths and weaknesses in the dream world of Silence. Players can switch which character they control in order for them to work together to solve puzzles in the war-ravaged land.
Daedalic’s Studio Manager Steffen Boos had the following to say about the console announcement:Silence has always been a multi-platform project. From early on, we planned to release Silence – The Whispered World 2 on consoles as well, but we wanted to make absolutely certain the controls were tuned to each platform before announcing its console status. We think the new generation of consoles offer a platform that is ideal for indie development, and with the new gameplay we’re introducing to the adventure genre with The Whispered World 2, adventure games now also can be a good fit to consoles.Silence – The Whispered World 2
is due in early 2015.
