Back in August last year, we brought you the news
that the upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition
would have a unique way for players to craft their stories known as Dragon Age Keep
. This browser-based experience givers players the opportunity to make key decisions and define the history and lore in the months leading up to the events of the game. These decisions also include choices you made in previous games so the new game's world can be built according to your previous experiences or you can completely redefine them by exploring alternative outcomes.
At the time of the original announcement, gamers were given the opportunity to sign up for the closed beta of the new service, but Bioware has recently announced that the open beta is now live so anyone with an Origin account can try it out here
. To go along with the announcement, they also provided a trailer that details the service.
Aaryn Flynn, General Manager of BioWare Edmonton and Montreal, had the following to say about the service:The story of Dragon Age is truly immense and filled with rich characters, beautiful and deadly locales and incredible events which have shaped the world players will experience in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Dragon Age Keep is an opportunity for players who are both new to the franchise and those who have played past games to forge the key moments in the lore, creating a personalised and customised experience when Inquisition launches.Dragon Age: Inquisition
will be released on November 18th in North America and in Europe on November 21st.
