The Crew Open Beta Announced With New Trailer

Fans of the upcoming and highly anticipated racing title The Crew who were not lucky enough to be part of the recent closed beta will be pleased to hear that Ubisoft and developer Ivory Tower have announced an open beta for all those that now wish to participate, and it arrives sooner than you might expect.

The open beta will enable players to take part and complete challenges in two of the five areas included in the game, the Midwest and the East Coast. If that wasn't already enough ground to cover, players will also be able to drive on all of the roads currently included in the title, effectively meaning all of the roads in the United States.

For those players feeling competitive, the lobbies in both included areas will be open for multiplayer, and for those who prefer the tuning and customization, two of the five specs, Street and Dirt, will be available for a little performance tweaking.

To give you a heads-up before the beta starts, the team have put together a 101 video in which they introduce some of the concepts and features of the game, and it is quite comprehensive running at just under eight minutes long.

The open beta will begin on November 25th, continuing until November 27th. Admittedly, that might seem rather short, but with launch day itself only being days away, players won't have too long to wait for the full title.

The Crew will be racing to stores on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles on December 2nd, with the Gold and Limited digitial editions already available for pre-order and pre-download.
