Rogue Legacy Confirmed for Xbox One Release

Cellar Door Games' popular roguelike adventure, Rogue Legacy, will be coming to the Xbox One in 2015. The news was confirmed on the developer's Twitter account in response to an inquiry on the game's future on the console.

Rogue Legacy is a 2D side-scrolling platformer, which features randomly generated castle environments (unless the player offers a percentage of future gold to keep their current progress). The player begins the game as a certain hero, and upon their death, picks up the quest as one of their heirs who have personality traits which alter gameplay. Maybe your hero suffers from glaucoma, and therefore has a smaller field of vision; or ADHD, thus making your heir move quicker. Then there's the bald trait, which rewards you with the ability of...uh, well...being bald. There are a wide variety of these traits in the game, which will either aid or hinder the player.

Cellar Door Games enjoyed high praise for Rogue Legacy on other platforms in the past, and will look to continue that success when the game releases on the Xbox One later this year.
