New DLC Tracks Coming to Rock Band Tomorrow

By Michelle Balsan, 1 year ago
Just under two years ago, Harmonix made the sad announcement that regular, weekly DLC would no longer be coming to their Rock Band franchise. On April 2nd, 2013, Don McLean's "American Pie" arrived for Rock Band 3 and Rock Band Blitz, bringing to an end 281 consecutive weeks of new Rock Band content. Harmonix has certainly been busy since then, releasing new titles such as Dance Central: Spotlight and continuing to keep us in the loop with regard to delistings as they happen, but the Rock Band support seemed finished for the foreseeable future.

Today, the developer made the surprising announcement that three new tracks will be coming to Rock Band 3 tomorrow, January 13th. The tracks are listed below and will be available for $1.99/£.99/€1.49 EU each.

• Arctic Monkeys – “R U Mine?”
• Avenged Sevenfold – “Shepherd Of Fire”
• Foo Fighters – “Something From Nothing”
At this time, we don't know if the intention is to continue to release new songs, but we'll be sure to keep you updated as we know more. Is anyone intending to dust off the old instruments on the news of renewed support? Let us know!
