NASCAR Games Announced for Next Two Years

By Rebecca Smith, 1 year ago
While the sport may not be popular outside of North America, there is no denying that there are quite a few fans of NASCAR who would be eagerly awaiting a new title upon their favourite consoles. Never fear, we can now confirm a new title and a large update that are currently in development.

This spring will see the release of NASCAR '15. Instead of being an independent title, this content will be an update for NASCAR 14. As well as the new seasonal changes, there will also be some gameplay improvements included with the digital release, although we don't yet have any details on this.

After that, Eutechnyx will no longer be the developer of NASCAR titles. Instead, development duties will be handed over to DMi Games, who are currently making "an all-new NASCAR racing sim" that will be released in 2016. The game will be the first NASCAR title to target the Xbox One and it is not currently planned for release on Xbox 360. DMi's President Ed Martin has promised more information on this title in the future.

DMi Games has grabbed a long-term license to be able to develop NASCAR titles, so expect to see them around for quite a while yet!
