World of Tanks Gets First Japanese Vehicle

Just last week, it was revealed that the Iron Brotherhood was coming to Wargaming.net's World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition. Now, the developer has revealed that there are two new additions already available for the vehicular combat title.

First up is the inclusion of the Japanese Premium tank, Chi-Nu Kai. The Chi-Nu Kai, a tier V medium tank, represents the first Japanese vehicle in the game. A purchase of the vehicle includes its own Garage Slot, a fully trained Crew, and Premium time and will be available in the store for a limited time, from Thursday, January 29, 12:01AM PST through Sunday, February 8, 11:59PM PST.

In addition to the new tank, a brand new, Xbox 360-exclusive map was also released. This marks the first exclusive to come to the console, so the team took their time to develop something special. Based on the Corregidor Island in the Pacific, where several tank battles between American and Japanese forces were waged during World War II, the map features rough terrain amongst its peaks and valleys.

Finally, further update notes were released with the above announcements.

- Good news everyone! All of your previous Mastery Badges have been restored and every Mastery Badge earned since 1.7 launched will be added. Your hard work has not been lost!
- We have fixed the excess of ribbons being shown in your stats page. Your previous ribbons have been restored and all new ribbons earned will be added to your total ribbons count.
- The dialogue box in the Customization screen that said you had to pay Gold for emblems/inscriptions that you already own has been removed.
- We have also fixed the inability to view Battle Results from the Logs tab when you left the battle early.
Both the Pacific Island Map and the Chi-Nu Kai are already available in World of Tanks.
