TA Gaming Stats - Feb 23rd to March 1st 2015

By Chewie, 1 year ago
This report is for the period Feb 23rd to March 1st 2015.

Welcome to another edition of Stats from here on TA. Apologies we missed another week last week. My Ewok helpers, the Statisticles, had to redo some of the background technical magic to make these articles after the changes to the site's platforms went live. You won't notice a huge difference overall but some games that were previously being marked as Arcade will now appear under 360 and vice versa.

Games Started
65,611 TrueAchievements gamers started a total of 105,348 games between them (2,170 different games).

New "Games with Gold" title Rayman Legends runs straight to the top of the table with over 11,700 starters. Two new releases make the table in second and fifth. Dragon Ball XenoVerse is the most popular with almost 6,000 starters, whilst Resident Evil Revelations 2 settles for under 3,200. Other new release Pneuma: Breath of Life unfortunately didn't make the table.

Being newly added to the EA Vault places NBA LIVE 15 in fourth whilst other recent releases fill up the rest of the table, as well as recent sale title Sniper Elite 3 in sixth.

Top Xbox One Games Started

Speaking of Sniper Elite 3's, its predecessor continues to lead the table thanks to its "Games with Gold" freeness. The new free title Tomb Raider does take second but only with fewer than 500 starters. It's only been free for one day of this period though, so expect that to shoot up next week. The only new release is Dragon Ball XenoVerse (Xbox 360) in third with over 400 starters. The same sale as on the One puts Sniper Elite 3 (Xbox 360) into fifth.

Top Xbox 360 Games Started

New release Resident Evil Revelations 2 (Xbox 360) places in second with 300 starters, behind previous freebie Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons. Recent releases MONOPOLY Plus (Xbox 360) and TRIVIAL PURSUIT LIVE! (Xbox 360) sit alongside sale titles State of Decay and Terraria (Xbox 360), as well as Joy Ride Turbo, which had been been part of a recent giveaway.

Top Xbox Live Arcade Games Started

Not much to see here as the usual selection of Microsoft titles dominate the majority of the table, whilst Despicable Me: Minion Rush (Win 8), Asphalt 8: Airborne (Win 8) and Age of Empires: Castle Siege (Win 8) slip into third, fifth and eighth.

Top Windows Games Started

New free title Make It Rain: The Love of Money (WP) takes a massive chunk of starters in first with over 1,700 starters, over 1,000 more than the rest of the table added together.

Top Windows Phone Games Started

Games Completed
9,469 TrueAchievements gamers completed a total of 17,115 games between them (1,747 different games).

Despite not making the Started table, Pneuma shortness and ease of completion puts it in fourth with 300 completions, behind #IDARB and the usual Telltale suspects. A new achievement-carrying Title Update puts Zombie Driver Ultimate Edition in fifth with nearly 290 completions. The Fault One Zero DLC gives Trials Fusion a similar boost into tenth with almost 160 completions.

Top Xbox One Games Completed

Sniper Elite V2 is a fairly straightforward completion, putting it at the top of the table with 300 completions thanks to all the extra players. As for the rest of the table, the numbers are starting to get so low it's all much of a muchness.

Top Xbox 360 Games Completed

Brothers is a very easy completion so it too takes the lead, with 350 completions. Telltale dominates the rest of the table.

Top Xbox Live Arcade Games Completed

After ages of Microsoft Mahjong (Win 8) and Microsoft Solitaire Collection (Win 8) sharing the top spots on W8 thanks to their super easy achievements, a new title update for the latter game have suddenly made it a lot more of an effort to finish, so it gets blasted from the table entirely, leaving Mahjong to stand at the top alone. Sale title Rayman Fiesta Run (Win 8) takes third behind UNO & Friends (Win 8).

Top Windows Games Completed

Despite multiple reports of glitches hitting WP over the last few weeks leading to achievements not syncing, over 20 people managed to successfully complete Make It Rain

Top Windows Phone Games Completed

Achievements Won
124,854 TrueAchievements gamers won a total of 2,248,761 achievements online between them (70,866 different achievements).

Three games share the table, with Rayman claiming three spots, including the top two, Dragonball grabbing four in the middle, and Dying Light finishing things off in the bottom three.

Top Xbox One Achievements Won

Sniper Elite V2 takes out every spot on the table for a clean sweep.

Top Xbox 360 Achievements Won

Brothers also grabs a clean sweep.

Top Xbox Live Arcade Achievements Won

Despite not making it on the Completed table, people were still popping a lot of Microsoft Solitaire's achievements, mostly thanks to then syncing with those unlocked already on WP.

Top Windows Achievements Won

Make It Rain does just that by flooding the table with a clean sweep.

Top Windows Phone Achievements Won

Action-Adventure clings to the top spot as Shooter falls back in second. Action sees a boost in numbers thanks to DragonBall and so does Platformer thanks to Rayman, which pushes it over Role-Playing into fourth.
