Further details have been released for The Flame in the Flood, an action-adventure title from The Molasses Flood and one of a number of ID@Xbox titles coming to the Xbox One this year. Playing as Scout with your canine companion Aesop, you will adventure through a procedurally generated world inspired by environments like the Louisiana Bayou and Florida Everglades.

Set among the "remnants of a long-dead society", players will have to balance progression towards your unknown goal while avoiding environmental risks like cold and hunger. You'll also want to watch out for other dangers such as snake bites, wounds and illness picked up while travelling. Helping to ward off these challenges is a "deep and multifaceted" crafting system, with dozens of ingredients that will help Scout, and Aesop, survive. As the world is seeded randomly each time, there's always a little bit of luck involved too.

Helping The Flame in the Flood stand out from many other ID@Xbox titles that have been previewed recently are its superb art style and beautiful soundtrack, provided by singer and songwriter Chuck Ragan.
