Ubisoft Announces Assassin's Creed Chronicles

Ubisoft does not look like they will be putting the brakes on the Assassin's Creed franchise any time soon. They have just announced three new titles that will make up an installment trilogy called Assassin's Creed Chronicles. All three games will feature 2.5D style graphics, which will be a first for the Assassin's Creed franchise on next-gen consoles. They will all be set in immaculate brushed-ink like backgrounds and the developer ensures that the games will have familiar Assassin's Creed controls.

The first game or installment will be Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China. The setting is 16th century China during the end of the Ming Dynasty. You will play as an assassin named Shao Jun who made her first appearance in the animated movie-short, Assassin's Creed Embers.

Ubisoft is not done however. After the China installment is released, two additional games will be coming this year: Assassin Arbaaz Mir will be picking his targets in India during the Sikh Empire period of 1841 and assassin Nikolai Orelov will slay his enemies in post-revolutionary Russia around 1918.
