The Witcher 3 Gets New Gameplay Trailer

As an unabashed fan of story-driven games and RPGs, I understand how frustrating it can be to attempt to jump into a series mid-stream. Who is that guy? What does this mean? Where are we? Such queries and conundrums can tie a player into knots, not to mention when those story hangups are layered on top of new gameplay mechanics to master.

The world of The Witcher is the latest game that's attempted to encourage new players to jump in "in medias res". Console devotees of the last generation were already asked to pick up the lore and story when only The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings made the jump to consoles (leaving the game's PC predecessor in PC world) and now CD Projekt RED is asking more gamers to make the plunge as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt makes its debut on the new generation of consoles.

To help ease this transition, the developer has released a new trailer featuring gameplay video and voiceover narration explaining the world of The Witcher, what players can expect from Wild Hunt, and a bit more on the game's plot and mechanics.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set for a release on May 19th on the Xbox One. The developer has also recently announced a Season Pass (on top of additional free DLC) to make the game even more massive.
