After being announced almost two years ago, developer DICE has finally debuted the long awaited return of Star Wars Battlefront. The game promises to allow players to live out some of the heroic moments from the movies, as well as experience some previously unexplored planets. Battlefront features something for everyone, from fighting on the ground, firing blasters, riding speeders and avoiding AT-ATs to fast-paced dogfights in the sky featuring TIE fighters, X-wings and the iconic Millennium Falcon. Online play will feature a diverse set of modes, from 40-person competitive multiplayer to crafted missions that can be played solo, split screen or co-operatively online. Fans of the original trilogy will also be excited to discover that, not only will you see some familiar faces from time to time BUT you will also be able to play as such characters as Darth Vader and Boba Fett.

DICE released a trailer along with the announcment, showing off a massive battle on the forest moon of Endor, and giving us a glimpse at some of the games other locations while showing off some of the gear and vehicles.
