Red Goddess: Inner World New Trailer

Yanim Studio's upcoming platformer Red Goddess: Inner World puts players in the role of a troubled deity, Divine. Not only does she feel like the past is haunting her, her confusion is tearing her apart, destroying her mind and her soul. While most people's journeys through their subconscious normally lead to a lot of soul-searching, Divine's journey takes her through a series of colourful environments as her subconscious consists of mountains, forests, caves and plenty of danger. Will she be able to discover who she really is?

If you're after more details about the game's premise, take a look at the latest trailer that showcases the game's introduction in the form of a fantasy cinematic that mixes the character's history with gameplay.

Not only will you be able to complete the journey as Divine, there will be two other characters for players to utilise. Each will have their own unique skills and abilities, such as shooting, punching or turning invisible. Combat is a little more complicated than mashing buttons as players must match the skills of the characters to the enemies to be able to succeed. You can also stun and enter the minds of your enemies to gain access to new areas to help in your quest. If you collect memory crystals as you progress, you will be able to unlock new skills and enter new zones of the game too.

The game's planet is driven by Divine's subconscious mind and it is not a friendly place in which to be. Your way will be blocked and you will be prevented from entering areas. Not only that, it is constantly trying to detect your presence. If you are detected, the planet enforces a quarantine zone that may consist of more enemies that may be more aggressive, new traps, blocked routes and the chance that your subconscious will turn against you.

Can you survive the negativity when Red Goddess: Inner World is due to arrive on Xbox One this December?
