Diablo III Anniversary Event

By Lexley Ford, 1 year ago
To celebrate the third anniversary of Diablo III, Blizzard are giving players who log into Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition between May 15th and May 21st a temporary in-game buff. The buff you will receive is different depending on your version, so carry on reading below to find out which bonuses are available.

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360:
Double your adventuring profits! For a limited time, enjoy a +100% bonus to EXP and Gold! This bonus will stack with other existing bonuses in the game including (but not limited to) those provided by items, shrines, and Pools of Reflection.PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners are in for a somewhat different and nostalgic treat:
We've always said there is no cow level, and you should really beeflieve us by now. Beware strange encounters and even stranger portals that may be left behind.Blizzard’s above warning seems to be a part of a much larger "Cowspiracy", as on a recent blog post they have stated that “after thoroughly investigating all reported sightings, [we] can cowfindently state that this is nothing more than a clever hoax”. Despite this, they are encouraging “all residents of Sanctuary to steer clear of the wilds” between dawn on May 15th and dusk on May 21th. They also recommended that players avoid entering any “moosterious orange portals” that “may or may not lead to alternate planes of existence”.

Based on this conflicting information, and the fact that I’m a conspiracy nut at heart, we have delved into this mystery and been able to piece together that if you encounter an Elite cow enemy named “Herald of the Queen” and kill it, a portal to "Not the Cow Level" will open. Of course, entering the portal is to be done at your own risk, but we all know that where there is risk, there is reward.

These special anniversary events for Diablo III: Reaper of Souls - Ultimate Evil Edition are running now and will end on Thursday, May 21st, at 23:59 PDT / Friday, May 22nd, 06:59 UTC.
