Not unfamiliar to what EA has done with Battlefield: Bad Company 2
and Medal of Honor
, Bioware and EA have announced the pre-order bonus for upcoming RPG Dragon Age II
. Rather than offering a few items of DLC, Bioware opted to upgrade all pre-orders placed before January 11th
of 2011 to the Bioware Signature Edition of the game that includes "over $20 worth of additional content".
So, not only does it come in a different, blacker cover, but it also includes an "in-game armory", as well as a playable character (and associated missions), as well as a downloadable version of the game's soundtrack. That's not too shabby, considering the low, low price of entry. But, to reiterate, you have to pre-order before January 11th
of 2011. Otherwise, you'll simply have to settle for the regular version of the game, and live with the shame of your white covered game.Dragon Age II
arrives on March 8th
, 2011 in North America and March 11th
, 2011 in Europe.
