Call of Duty: Black Ops III is Coming to Last-Gen

By Marc Caccamise, 1 year ago
While other big series like Fallout have recently decided to leave last-gen behind, Activision today confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops III will also come out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Development studios Beenox and Mercenary Technology will work on the last-gen version of the game, including the campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. However, there will be some differences between the two versions.

The Xbox One campaign mode will support four-player co-op while the 360 version will only support two-player. Additionally, there will be "some other features and functionality built specifically for the new generation" and more information about what that entails specifically will be shared later this year. The game's multiplayer beta will also only be available on the Xbox One.

More information about Call of Duty: Black Ops III will likely be revealed next week during E3, so we'll have plenty to bring you when it becomes available. The game will launch later this year on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 6th.
