Final Fantasy Versus XIII on the 360? [RUMOR]

The neat thing about the megaton that was the 2008 E3, where Sony lost the exclusivity to Final Fantasy XIII, was just that -- it was a megaton. There were no backroom whispers, no comments made at investors meetings, it just happened. Bam! There it was. Savor it.

This time around there are rumors swirling about the exclusivity of the sequel to Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII. As a side note, whatever happened to Final Fantasy games just being stand alone games and not direct sequels?

Square-Enix has long claimed that the next two games in the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy were exclusives to the PlayStation 3 console, since its megaton announcement back in 2008. However, as we all know how the internet operates, doubts began to swirl about the exclusivity of those games. Keep in mind, this is the same company that stated quite clearly that Final Fantasy XIII was going to be exclusive to the PlayStation 3 in the Japan region, but the 360 will see the game in December.

There was nothing to substantial the doubts except for the typical fanboy dribble you can find anywhere on the internet. That was until during an investor meeting Square-Enix revealed that it had looked into developing the title for the Xbox 360 as well. Square-Enix president Yoichi Wada later tweeted that:

What was said at the investors meeting was only that until the official announcement is made everything about all titles is pending.
So the rumor mill had that to chew on for a while, until today. Square-Enix posted up on their website for Final Fantasy Versus XIII a job opening for a "Battle Planner." Kotaku grabbed the translation of the website and listed the following job requirements:

Experience developing a 3D action game, knowledge and experience in both level and battle design and "development experience on a PS3, or Xbox 360 package title".
With the inclusion of the wording "Xbox 360 package" now brings forward the speculation that Sony may lost another exclusive game from its library.

As always, this is all a big fat rumor until we can get some official confirmation of Square-Enix on the matter. Official in the sense we only see the game released on the PlayStation 3 or an announcement of the mutliplatform release.
